Sunday Lately #149

Sunday Lately #149

Sunday Lately is a weekly link-up hosted by the Blogger Tribe, which is being fearlessly led by Angelica, Meghan, Katy, and Nicole. We e-hang out every Sunday, sharing a small glimpse into the most recent week of life in our own worlds. We'd love if you could join us!

This week’s themes: Treasuring, chasing, crushing, yelling, and flowing.

The month of November. Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday, and I'm so stinkin' excited to soak up the sounds, smells, and warm, cozy feelings that come along with the month. Since I'm the self-appointed president and lone member of the decoration committee for my family's Thanksgiving gathering, I made a trip to Target on Friday morning to round up some festive plates (and here!), napkins (and here!), and decorative items to haul up to Dallas in a few weeks! To say that I'm excited is a vast understatement.

My dreams. Quite literally, actually! Over the past few weeks, I've worked my rear off on an exciting project that I can't wait to spill the beans about. It feels so good to act on my goals instead of sit around and daydream, which is something that I'm oh-so familiar with.

My many to-do lists that I've created over the past several days. I don't know if it was the caffeine or adrenaline (or both) that were in my system this week, but I made substantial progress on a couple of goals that I've been laser-focused on lately. I placed orders, made some tough decisions, and identified and outlined my priorities for the next couple of months. Can you believe it’s almost the new year?!

At the top of my lungs for my world champion hometown heroes, the Houston Astros! We beat the Los Angeles Dodgers in seven games on Wednesday, and boy howdy - that was one heck of an amazing feeling. Always and forever, #HoustonStrong.

Through the sleeves, fabrics, and pieces of my closet. This weekend, I bit the bullet and switched out my summer clothes for my winter clothes - even though it was 85 degrees on Saturday! It didn’t take much time, and it felt fantastic to evaluate and simplify my wardrobe for the upcoming season. I can’t wait to wear some of my favorite J.Crew sweaters and gorgeous Kork-Ease Rosalind clogs once the Central Texas temperatures drop a little bit.

I hope everyone had a lovely week! Next week’s themes are: Dwelling, rolling, skating, obeying, and knitting. If you'd like, feel free to join us!
